How it works

Three steps, a few seconds.

  1. 01Add an imageA large one works best. It never leaves your browser.
  2. 02Pick the grid1, 2, 3 or 4 rows of three. Drag to choose the crop.
  3. 03Download and postPost tile 1 first. The last tile you post lands top-left.

Instagram’s grid is 3:4 now

Instagram’s profile grid shows each post as a 3:4 rectangle, not a square. Tiles cut at 3:4 (1080×1440) fill those spaces exactly, so the picture lines up across posts. The square option is there for the older look.

Post them in the right order

Your newest post sits top-left, so a grid is posted backwards: bottom-right first, top-left last. The tiles are numbered in posting order so you don’t have to work it out.

Post all of them in one sitting. Anything posted in between shifts every tile by one and breaks the picture.

FAQ

Good to know.

What size are the tiles?

1080×1440 for the 3:4 grid, or 1080×1080 for squares.

Is my image uploaded?

No. It’s cut in your browser and never sent anywhere.

Why does my grid look shifted?

Your post count must be a multiple of three before you start, or the rows won’t line up. Pin or archive a post to fix it.
